Why did the salmon cross the road? Because it was flooded

Posted

(RNN) - We're used to seeing deer in the road, but salmon?

In Washington state, salmon cross a flooded road every year in Skokomish Valley.

That's dedication to get their breeding ground.

The Seattle Times has a report on the phenomenon, including past years when one was picked up by local dog.

There are also old YouTube videos from the same area showing the dangerous trip.
