Washington police arrest heavily armed man muttering about 'lizard people'

PARKLAND, WA (CNN) - Police in Washington detained a man for a mental health evaluation after they found him waving around weapons and muttering something about “lizard people.”

They found the 54-year-old with his SUV parked in the middle of an intersection in Parkland.

He told them President Trump called him at his home and warned him about lizard people. He also said that "the alpha dragon" that was holding his family hostage.

The man was well-armed.  Police found an AK-47 with five loaded magazines, a Ruger revolver, 170 rounds of ammunition and a wooden bat in his car.

Police shocked him twice with a stun gun to being him under control. EMS said he was “heavily under the influence of a stimulant”

Police say the man told them he took meth to lose weight and was taking prescription morphine. And was taken to a hospital for a 14-day mental health evaluation.
