INDIANAPOLIS (WISH/CNN) – A fun Saturday night for kids at a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Indianapolis turned violent after two women at a booth came to blows following an argument.
Witness Cujo Bailey and his family were celebrating his daughter’s birthday at Chuck E. Cheese when the fight began. He recorded the fight on his camera after hearing the commotion.
The cell phone video, which has been blurred because no one involved has been charged, shows two women pushing, punching, slapping and pulling each other’s hair.
They are surrounded by children and other adults, one of whom tries to get them to stop.
At one point, you can see two employees in the video standing by.
The reason for the fight is unclear.
"The lady came in, yelling at the other lady. They exchanged some words, and the fight took off from there,” Bailey said.
The father says he never thought he would see this in person.
"You see those type of videos all the time now, so it kind of looks like some stuff that you see on Facebook,” Bailey said.
Bailey says he had no intentions of recording the fight. He already had his phone out and was trying to film his son.
"It happened like right there. It was all the kids right there, playing with Chuck E. Cheese,” Bailey said.
Someone called 911, but a police spokesperson said all of the people involved in the fight were gone by the time officers arrived, so no report was filed.
Chuck E. Cheese released a statement saying it was aware of the incident.
“The store manager acted quickly and local police were contacted and arrived immediately. We want to assure our guests that we take great measures to protect the experience children and families have in our stores and we do not tolerate this kind of behavior,” the statement read in part.
