NARRAGANSETT, RI (CNN) – The U.S. Coast Guard rescued two 15-year-olds in Rhode Island when their boat lost power Saturday.
A commercial towing company called the Coast Guard to report the teenage boys were stranded on a break wall with a disabled 21-foot recreational boat.
The Coast Guard crew sent a 45-foot boot to rescue the teens, but it wasn’t able to get close enough to the wall.
A swimmer jumped in and brought each boy to the rescue boat individually. The boys were wearing life jackets, and no injuries were reported.
The teens were reunited with their parents.
