OAKLAND, CA (KRON/CNN) - A fight between security guards and a fan at an Oakland A's baseball game was caught on camera this week.
Police said the fight was over a stolen backpack.
Punches thrown in the upper deck at the Oakland Coliseum on Monday night as a security guard was seen attacking a fan.
The security guard involved has been fired.
"I just don't understand why other people get in somebody else's space," one person said.
Police said a stadium security officer's backpack was taken while they were working.
Another security guard located that backpack with a fan in another section.
Police said the security guard then confronted the fan, and the fight broke out.
In slow motion, you can see the punches being thrown.
One witness said security at the Oakland Coliseum looked like they were on a witch hunt that lasted at least 10 minutes. Then, in their words, the fan was jumped.
Another witness said security attacked the fan and multiple people with the fan.
The security company, Staff Pro, is contracted by the athletics.
Police said the backpack was recovered, but items inside were still missing.
Fans said they still can't believe what went down on Monday night. Police said the incident is under investigation.
