(RNN) - Impatience is not considered an emergency with Ryanair.

One passenger learned that the hard way on New Year’s Day.

Flight FR8164 from London, England to Málaga, Spain had already endured an hour-long delay upon departure. When it arrived at Málaga, it faced an additional delay.

After 30 minutes of waiting to leave the plane, the man had enough.

"I'm going via the wing," the man announced, according to a Facebook post by fellow passenger Fernando Del Valle Villalobos.

The man, reportedly a Polish national in his 50s, used the plane’s emergency exit to climb out of the cabin and onto the wing.

Video of the incident has circulated online and earned thousands of shares.

Del Valle Villalobos said the man was sat on the wing for a bit. The crew managed to get him back inside, according to The Guardian.

According to Málaga Hoy, the Civil Guard has corroborated Del Valle Villalobos’ account.

Airport security detained the man until police arrived to arrest him.

Ironically, the man’s episode caused an additional 40-minute delay for the rest of the passengers.
