MAINE (RNN) - A trapped seal pup had a fortunate encounter with lobstermen, and it was caught on video.
Jeremy Willey cut a baby seal out of fishing gear about 10 to 12 miles south of Matinicus Rock off the coast of Maine, WCSH said.
Jeffery Door took video of the encounter, which was posted to Facebook.
Willey, a fourth-generation lobsterman from Owl's Head, spotted the trapped pup, pulled him aboard, carefully freed the pup and released it into the Atlantic.
"The more I cut, the more I'd feel him relax," Willey told WCSH.
The video was posted Sunday, and as of Tuesday morning, it has been viewed more than a million times on Facebook.
