PLAINVILLE, CT - (Plainville PD/RNN) - Video captured a small plane crashing into a tree and then hitting the pavement in a parking lot in Connecticut.
Pilot Manfred Forst’s injuries are called minor, the Record-Journal said.
The Cessna resembled a bird trying to land in the tree, but vaulted through the top of the tree and fell to the pavement on Monday morning.
Surveillance video captured the accident. The plane landed upright after flipping over, not far from some cars in the parking lot. The Record-Journal in Meriden , CT, said the business and parking lot are located adjacent to Robertson Airport.
The FAA is investigating.
