UPPER MARLBORO, MD (WJLA/CNN) - In all, 10 people were injured on Tuesday in Maryland after a car crashed into a restaurant in Prince George's County. It happened at a place called Babe’s Boys Tavern.

Authorities said as many as 30 people were in the restaurant.

The whole thing was caught on camera, and the images are stunning.  A normal lunchtime crowd at Babe's in Upper Marlboro is eating when like a bolt of lightning a car comes crashing in. It all happened so fast.

The car slams through the wall and into the restaurant. "I thought we had been hit with a bomb,” said bartender Aileen Noel.

Noel says she feels lucky to be alive. "The car came in the whole entire wall came this way, bricks cement blocks everywhere,” she said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The driver of the vehicle says her brakes gave out and she was only going 25 mph. Law enforcement sources say the car was going much faster than that as the driver lost control on a corner and launched into the building, leaving this business in ruins and its employees wondering what comes next.

"We all live paycheck to paycheck like anybody else. The manager is a single mom with a daughter in college,” Noel said.

The owner of the restaurant says the car left a hole about 8-feet wide in the wall of the establishment, and also destroyed a center pillar in the building that supports the roof.
