APPLETON, WI (WBAY/CNN) - 70 years stretches through different generations and wars.
That's how long a Wisconsin man has been a part of the Appleton's War Veterans Service Organization, known as the VFW.
Nearly 90-year-old Bob Albrecht was a former VFW Post 2778 past commander, and still a proud member of the group that serves veterans, military families and their communities.
Today, Albrecht's post members gave him a plaque and thanked him for his 70 years of service to Post 2778.
Albrecht stood up and saluted his fellow post members, who said 70 years was rare to find and represented his passion.
