DETROIT (WXYZ/CNN) - Military veteran Ron Wordlaw, 55, was visiting a barber shop on Saturday when he was hit and killed by a car.
His grieving family is asking for the community’s help in identifying the driver in the fatal hit-and-run.
Th accident took place about 7 p.m., WXYZ reports, when Wordlaw was trying to cross the street. He was hit by a turquoise Mustang Convertible, video shows. The car fled the scene.
He was a beloved husband and father, his family said. “He was just the life of the family. It's very hard right now,” sister Cleo Wordlaw told WXYZ on Wednesday.
