NEWARK, NJ (CNN) - New Jersey's Newark Airport closed temporarily Tuesday after a plane engine fire.
According to the airport's Twitter page, a United Airlines jet plane reportedly caught fire while taxiing at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Emergency crews were called in, and the airport closed for safety reasons.
#EWR has reopened after earlier incident of plane with apparent engine fire. Reports of 5 minor injuries. Expect delays remainder of night.

124 passengers and seven crew members were evacuated using air-filled slides.
Airport officials said five people at the scene had minor injuries.
The airport reopened shortly after the incident.
