KIEV, UKRAINE (CNN) - Ukraine's hopes of full integration into the European Union may be on the rocks.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was set to meet with European Council President Donald Tusk and commission head Jean-Claude Juncker in Kiev on Thursday. It comes on the second day of a two-day summit following several positive steps forward for Ukraine, including expanded travel privileges and an economic agreement.
But the parties were unable to agree on the wording of the summit's final communiqué, according to a diplomat.
Specifically, the Dutch said the language would conflict with a Europe-Ukraine trade deal previously approved by parliament.
A Dutch government spokesman was unable to confirm this detail.
