(CNN) - Uber is hoping to help customers make it easier to find their drivers.
The ride-sharing giant is introducing new tools to help improve customer pick-ups, particularly in crowded areas like airports or sports arenas.
One of those tools is a device called the "beacon," which can be found on an Uber vehicle's windshield.
Customers can look for their driver by selecting a color via the Uber app. Once a color is selected, the beacon will glow accordingly.
That feature will be available in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
Uber is also introducing a live location feature that customers must turn on in an effort to address privacy concerns.
The moves are the latest by Uber to try and improve customer and driver experience following a series of crises that led to the resignation of CEO and co-founder Travis Kalanick.
