Two brands of nuts are being recalled because of possible listeria contamination, Simple Truth Dry Roasted Macadamia Nuts and Ava's Organic Cashews Roasted & Salted.

The macadamia nuts were sold in Kroger, Bakers, Gerbes and Dillons stores. They have a May 2, 2018 expiration date and a and a UPC code 11110-02478.

The cashews have a best-by date of April 28, 2018, and a UPC of 8-10111-01035-1. They were distributed only in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

"We deeply regret this situation and have employed our established recall plan to immediately remove the product from distribution. Nothing is more important than providing safe and wholesome, quality products," said Dallas Barnes, president of Hampton Farms, the company that manufactured the cashews under recall.

No illnesses have been reported in either recall.
