KENNEBUNK, ME (WMTW/CNN) - One family isn't giving thanks for this turkey in their house.
Hannah Borden was home alone when she heard a loud noise coming from upstairs.
She went to check it out, and found a wild turkey that had crashed through a double-paned window.
The bird was apparently no worse for wear. Borden said not only did the turkey appear unhurt, it was admiring itself in a mirror.
"It, like, spread its wings out and started grunting at me. I didn't even know turkeys could grunt,” she said. “And then started jumping on my sister's bed and checking out the mirror."
Police responded to the scene and captured the gobbler.
They released it back into the wild and shared pictures of the incident on the department's Facebook page.
