WASHINGTON, DC (RNN) - President Donald Trump entered the White House briefing room on Thursday to tell reporters a "major announcement" will be made on North Korea at 7 p.m., CNN reported.
The announcement is expected to be made by South Korean officials.
It wasn't immediately clear what the announcement would cover, but it comes after a South Korean delegation came to the White House to tell officials about the country's recent talks with North Korea.
During recent talks, North Korea signaled it would be willing to enter nuclear negotiations, the South said.
Trump just came into the briefing room and just said there was a major announcement coming from South Korea. Per @TreyYingst
