(RNN) - As the U.S. continues to deal with the deadly Tropical Storm Harvey, another tropical storm has formed in the Atlantic basin off the coast of Africa, and it's expected to become a hurricane.
Tropical Storm Irma has formed 420 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands, moving to the west at about 13 mph with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph.
Though it is no immediate threat to land, it is forecast to gradually intensify and move west-northwestward to westward at about 15 mph over the tropical Atlantic during the next several days, making it something for the continental U.S. to watch.
