EVANS, CO (KDVR/CNN) - Severe weather turned summer into a winter wonderland in parts of Colorado.
Strong storms barreling through the northern part of the state buried one neighborhood north of Denver in hail.
By some estimates, 2 feet of ice accumulated in just 10-15 minutes, covering the ground like snow.
Cars were stuck and kids were playing in the hail like it was Christmas in August.
