PLEASANTON, CA (KRON/CNN) - A mannequin was stolen on from the window display of a clothing store, but the thief left behind $200 and an apology note.
The mannequin was wearing ripped jeans, a black tank top, a black hat and holding a beige backpack in the store KJCOUTURE, KRON reports.
The thief, or thieves, left the cash and a note reading, “Sorry for stealing your statue. She needed a better home. You should consider better security. Love Hollywood.”
Store owner Kim Gapol says the mannequin was all that was stolen. The business doesn’t have security cameras or an alarm system.
Gapol is offering a $200 reward for the safe return of the mannequin.
