ROSEMONT, IL (WLS/CNN) - There's been a gruesome discovery at a hotel in Rosemont, Illinois.
The body of a missing woman was found in a freezer Sunday morning, a day after she attended a party there.
The family of 19-year-old Kenneka Jenkins is hoping police and officials at the hotel can provide answers about her death.
They are far from satisfied with what they've heard so far.
"I believe that someone in this hotel killed my child," her mother Teresa Martin said.
Jenkins was at the hotel Friday night and early Saturday morning for a party in a room on the ninth floor.
When friends and family were unable to find her Saturday morning, they reported her missing.
After searching for a short time, hotel employees discovered the body of the young woman in the freezer in the kitchen.
Relatives said police told them Jenkins was intoxicated and walked into the freezer on her own.
"It's something that no one could ever imagine. It's unbelievable, it's wrong," Martin said.
The hotel issued a statement saying in part: "Our thoughts are with the young woman and her family during this difficult time. The hotel staff will continue to cooperate fully with local authorities."
Police say Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene after her body was discovered.
