DETROIT (WXYZ/CNN) - In Detroit, a teen is dead and a man is wounded in a shooting over tennis shoes, police say.
Police say a 17-year-old boy and 21-year-old man were in the front seat of an SUV on Tuesday afternoon. In the back seat was someone the two met on social media to buy a pair of Air Jordans, WXYZ reports.
An argument broke out and two of the men had guns and started shooting. The 17-year-old driver was killed, found dead in the street. The 21-year-old passenger was wounded.
The person in the back seat is now on the run, and police are still looking for him. Both guns were recovered. The deadly shooting took place near a school, which was put on lockdown.
