NOBLESVILLE, IN (WISH/CNN) - It was no bed of roses, but “beds” were still involved in this street race in Indiana Friday night.

That's when Noblesville kicked off its annual bed race.

The gist of it is that teams of at least four people push beds on wheels as fast as they can.

The event is also a fundraiser for young people in the area.

"Our goal is to make it as entertaining as possible while raising money for our scholarships so we have 12 teams competing and we've raised up to $4,000 right now," a race official said.

The top two teams receive prizes, along with a team that's selected as the crowd favorite.
