LAHORE, PAKISTAN (CNN) - Officials told CNN that at least 26 people have died in a bomb blast in Pakistan that targeted police on Monday.
The incident took place at a vegetable market in Lahore, and at least 49 others were injured according to Punjabi Province health minister Salman Rafique.
The Pakistan Taliban, also called Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, has claimed responsibility for the bombing and called it a suicide attack.
In Kabul, Afghanistan, a car bomb exploded during morning rush hour, killing at least 29 people, and injuring at least 40. The Taliban took credit for the attack.
