Suspect says Louis Vuitton shoes ruined after police chase

Posted

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK/CNN) - The suspect who led Texas police on a high-speed car chase said, when he ran from his car, he stepped in some cow manure and lost one of his Louis Vuitton shoes.

It all started when police in Houston spotted a stolen car.

The driver ended up hitting speeds well over 100 mph.

After about an hour, the driver got off the interstate, parked the car and walked away near a cow pasture, where officers tackled and arrested him.

"He had a number of warrants out for his arrest felony warrants. He was also under surveillance for being in possession of a stolen vehicle which is the Dodge behind me," Deputy Marcus McLellan said.

The suspect laughed about the whole thing to police, who told him it wasn't funny.
