(CNN) - A consulting firm released the average starting salary for the class of 2018.
Graduates with a bachelor's degree can expect to earn an average of just over $50,000 annually in their first jobs.
That's about the same as last year.
But it should be easier to find a job than in previous years, as the unemployment rate recently dropped below four percent for the first time since 2000.
The firm arrived at the average starting salary by analyzing salaries across 310,000 entry-level positions from about 1,000 organizations across the U.S.
While the average starting pay is about $50,000, pay will vary by industry.
Those in science, technology, engineering and math-related fields earn significantly more than average.
Another big variable is where you live.
