(CNN) – The attorney for adult film actress Stormy Daniels said the performer is now crowdfunding her legal fees.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, set up an account on crowdjustice.com.
On Monday, Daniels offered to repay $130,000 paid to her by Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s attorney, weeks before the 2016 election - allegedly to keep quiet about an affair between her and Trump.
Daniels said she wants to be able to speak freely about her interactions with the president.
The crowdfunding page includes a personal plea from Daniels, in which she accuses President Trump and his attorney of trying to intimidate her into silence.
