(RNN) - Stand-up comic Ralphie May died on Friday of cardiac arrest, reports say.
May, 45,saw his career take off after he was runner-up on NBC's “Last Comic Standing” in the early 2000s.
He had been performing in Las Vegas this week despite health problems.
May and fellow comedian Lahna Turner married and also appeared in a podcast together. Turner filed for divorce in 2015. The couple had two children.
May had appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was born in Tennessee, but was raised in Arkansas.
