WAUCONDA, IL (WGN/CNN) - A small town in Illinois has something in common with the blockbuster movie ‘Black Panther,’ the name Wakanda.
Wauconda is a small town, 40 miles north of Chicago.
In the movie, Wakanda is the mythical city that's home to Black Panther.

A local reporter had some fun with the coincidence.
He took a guy dressed up as the superhero, as well as his arch-nemesis, around town to talk to people and get their reactions.
Most people, including the mayor played along.
They did not however find any ‘vibranium’, the fictional metal in the story.
Wauconda, Illinois has another Hollywood connection.
Part of the 'Blues Brother’s’ movie was filmed there.
