LONDON (CNN) - A busy London street became a scene of horror Saturday.
When people spotted a boa constrictor in the middle of the street eating a pigeon.
One man says he was staring down at his phone when he looked up and saw the snake.
A shock to people walking down the street for sure.
But, the Royal Society for The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said that the snake was the one in danger.
The group says it could have been hit by a car.
According to local media, the RSPCA confirmed the boa was rescued and taken to a nearby wildlife centre.
Officials are unsure how the boa constrictor ended up in the street.
One theory is that it's an escaped pet.
Another is that someone could have deliberately dumped the snake and let it wander.
