LOS ANGELES (KCAL/CNN) - A man who may have been under the influence of narcotics caused a temporary runway shutdown at the Los Angeles International Airport Saturday night.
Police said it appeared the shirtless man apparently scaled a fence and ran up to a Southwest plane that was preparing for takeoff.
The plane’s pilot spotted the man and immediately alerted police
The man is expected to face charges, including trespassing.
Passengers of the plane were taken off and put on a new flight as a precaution.
