HOUSTON, TX (KPRC/CNN) - Across the state of Texas, one man's face is becoming familiar, too familiar.
Houston Police say he's pulled off 11 robberies in less than two weeks. Sometimes hitting two or three stores in a single day. Another thing, he’s not shy about being photographed by security cameras. He doesn’t do much to hide his identity most of the time.
His method is always the same. He walks into a store and heads to the counter, just like a customer.
"What he does is hands them a note and threatens to shoot them if they don't give him the money from the cash register," said Houston Police Det. Jeff Brieden.
So far, he hasn't pulled a gun yet during a robbery. But a clerk at one store saw him carrying a gun in his waistband.
All the robberies have been on the west side of Houston, inside the I-610 loop.
The suspect hasn't hurt anyone and police want to keep it that way.
"We want to get him caught as fast as possible just because the fact that you don't know if he's going to hurt somebody," Brieden said.
