(CNN) - Giving vegetables a seductive description may be more likely to get people to eat them.
A study published in the medical journal "Jama Internal Medicine" found that students and staff at Stanford University ate more vegetables when they were given descriptive names.
For example, people were more likely to put corn on their plates if the food was described as "rich buttery sweet corn" rather than just "corn."
Researchers say the descriptions make vegetables more appealing.
