MARYLAND (CNN) - A Secret Service employee has been arrested on child porn charges in Maryland.
Fifty-two-year-old Jeffrey Litteral is charged with possession and distribution of child porn. He was arrested near his home Tuesday night and is being held without bond.
Secret Service officials assisted Maryland State Police in Litteral's arrest.
In a statement, the Secret Service called the allegations "intolerable" and said Litteral's security clearance has been suspended and he has been placed on administrative leave.
The investigation is ongoing, so more charges are possible.
