HOUSTON (CNN) - A Texas company is interested in trying to solve one of modern aviation's biggest mysteries. Texas-based Ocean Infinity is willing to continue the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
The plane disappeared in March of 2014, while heading to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur. The original search went on for years and cost about $150 million.
Some pieces of plane wreckage were found on the western shores of the Indian Ocean, but the cause of the crash remains a mystery. More than 200 people were on the doomed flight.
Ocean Infinity didn't reveal the terms of its proposal but said it would only expect a fee if it finds the aircraft wreckage. Ocean, based in Houston, is a seabed exploration company that has offered to use deep-sea drones with sonar to search for the plane, according to the Houston Chronicle.
