(WBBM/KEYE/CNN) - Charities are getting a boost from the "Rubber Ducky Derby."
In Chicago, 60,000 rubber duckies were released into the Chicago River on Thursday to benefit the Special Olympics.
In Austin, TX, 17,000 rubber ducks were dumped into Lady Bird Lake to benefit the Boys & Girls Club.
Ducks were sold in "adoptions" and prizes were available for the "parents" of the winning ducks.
