CAMBRIDGE, MA (WCVB/CNN) - The roof of a home being demolished in Massachusetts ended up on top of a parked SUV.
Anita Scheuring lives next door to the house and heard the collapse happen around 8 a.m. Friday.
"I did hear the house come down but I had no idea it was on top of my car," Scheuring said.
It was hard to tell, but her SUV ended up underneath the dislodged roof.
"I got a horrible feeling in my gut," Scheuring said.
The debris from the partial collapse spilled out onto the street.
As crews cleared away the roof and debris, the damage to the 18-year-old vehicle was revealed.
Scheuring was told that the car was totaled.
"This is my primary means of transportation and the car is gone. It's not worth much as far as dollar amounts go but for me it's worth a lot," Scheuring said.
No one was hurt in the incident.
