ROME (SKY TG24/CNN) -  Rome is experiencing an extreme drought.

And the lake that supplies it with water is running low.  The proposal is to turn the water off every day for about one and a half million Romans.

The plan, however, would ensure the protection of hospitals, firefighters, and other sensitive activities.
