(CNN) - A one-eyed bald eagle got a much-needed helping hand.
Two Maine lobstermen saw the bird swimming and in distress near Acadia National Park.
They say they inched toward the eagle, who wasn't scared off by the boat.
The eagle tried to get on top of a lobster buoy but wasn't able to maintain balance. That led the men to create a raft from a lifesaver and plywood.
The eagle hopped on, and it was brought onboard the boat.
As the boaters headed toward the harbor, the eagle apparently regained its strength and flew away.
