RAW: SpaceX launches supercomputer toward International Space Station

Posted

(CNN) – The Space-X Dragon spacecraft is on its way to the International Space Station with one of the most high-tech payloads ever delivered to the ISS.

Hewlett Packard's new supercomputer could be the most powerful commercial computer ever to operate in space. Food, water and scientific experiments also are on the craft.

Yes, astronauts already have high tech computers, but NASA says this new kind of power will be very valuable in processing high definition satellite images of Earth. The spacecraft is set to dock at the ISS on Wednesday.
