(RNN) – The nor’easter pummeling the Atlantic coast turned the skies not-so-friendly for one unfortunate airliner Friday.
Heavy winds hit a 50-passenger United Airlines plane as it landed at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia Friday morning.
And as towering waves thrashed houses and flooded streets on the Eastern Seaboard, so too did a wave of nausea engulf the flight.
“Pretty much everyone on the plane threw up,” the National Weather Service's aviation center tweeted.

The severe turbulence even made the pilots sick and on the verge of vomiting, according to a report filed with the National Weather Service, WRC-TV reported.
"A few customers on board the regional jet became ill as the aircraft was preparing to land," United said in a statement, as reported by WRC-TV. "The aircraft landed safely and taxied to its gate. No customers required medical attention because of the turbulence.”
