GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO (KMGH/CNN) - A massive vehicle fire has shut down Interstate 25 in Greenwood Village, just south of Denver and melted a light rail line.
Fuel from the truck spilled into the roadway and the fire spread across the median on Wednesday.
According to a witness, a road crew working nearby pulled the driver from the burning vehicle. The driver was taken to the hospital, KMGH said.
The fire is expected to burn for hours, and traffic issues are expected to last into evening. The light rail line will be down indefinitely. Hundreds of gallons of fuel were involved.
