OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR/CNN) - A dramatic high speed chase took place in Oklahoma City on Wednesday. A homicide suspect was riding in a dark SUV when police gave chase.
The suspect led them through neighborhoods and city streets. Speeds topped 80 miles per hour.
At one point he tried to make a right turn, lost control and crashed into a power pole. The SUV rolled onto its side, and police surrounded the vehicle.
The suspect popped out of the door with his hands raised. He was taken into custody, and police have not released his identity.
He's wanted in a deadly shooting earlier this month. According to police, the suspect simply walked up to a man and shot him.
