(RNN/CNN) - Rising waters took a home down river on Monday in Warren NH, where it hit a bridge and disintegrated.
The Baker River flooded following heavy rains triggered in part from a tropical storm. The remnants of Tropical Storm Philippe hit the Northeast on Sunday and Monday, downing tress and leaving more than a million people without power.
The system will move north into Canada but not before presenting a reminder to those in the Northeast of powerful Hurricane Sandy that hit the Northeast coast five years ago.
Airline flights were delayed in Boston and New York, CNN reported, and some schools opened late, or stayed close due to the weather in Massachusetts.
