ATLANTA (CNN) - Federal, state and local officials marked the re-opening of a repaired bridge in the heart of Atlanta. Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal and Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao were on hand for Thursday's ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The bridge actually re-opened to traffic over the weekend. It collapsed in March after a massive fire below the structure brought it down.
The incident led to weeks of traffic problems in and around Atlanta. But crews worked non-stop to re-build the bridge.
