RAW: Ammo facility destroyed by fire

RAPID CITY, SD (KEVN/KOTA/CNN) – The Ultramax ammunition facility in Rapid City was destroyed by a fire Tuesday.

Firefighters had to set up a 2,000-square-foot evacuation zone while fighting the blaze.

The threat of ammunition exploding had subsided by the afternoon.

According to its website, the ammunition company has been in business since 1986.

There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
