(CNN) - Twenty-seven-time Grammy Award-winning record producer Quincy Jones has some choice words for President Donald Trump.
In an interview appearing Wednesday in New York Magazine's entertainment website Vulture, the 84-year-old calls the president a "f---ing idiot."
He blames Trump and "uneducated rednecks" for stoking racial tensions in the U.S. But Jones says that is helping to bring out racism that used to be disguised.
He recalls hanging out with Trump when he was a celebrity business mogul, saying he is crazy, a megalomaniac and a narcissist.
Jones summarizes his feelings by saying of Trump, "I can't stand him."
The music producer also claims that he used to date Ivanka Trump.
Jones also chimed in on his longtime friend Oprah Winfrey. He says he doesn't think she has the chops to run for president in 2020.
