WILKES BARRE, PA (WBRE/CNN) - It may be Spring, but Winter is refusing to leave much of the Northeast.
As a result, one Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Office has placed America's most famous groundhog on a wanted poster.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has charged Punxsatawney Phil with deception.
The Sheriff’s Office said his six-week prediction of Winter has come and gone and many residents are not happy.
Phil, who promised just six more weeks of winter was last seen in Punxsatawney, PA.
That promise has now expired, and freezing Pennsylvanians are crying "fake news" and demanding justice.
