(RNN) - A woman walked on stage during a production of Julius Caesar in Central Park Friday night in protest of the play.
Laura Loomer objected to a scene in the play where an actor who is dressed to resemble President Donald Trump is knifed to death.
On stage, Loomer shouted, “Stop the normalization of political violence against the right.”
Jack Posobiec, another protester, stood up at his seat and yelled, "The blood of Steve Scalise is on your hands."
The performance paused briefly during the disturbance, as security removed both protesters from the theater.

“Two protesters disrupted our show tonight; we stopped the show for less than a minute and our stage manager handled it beautifully,” artistic director Oskar Eustis said.
Loomer continued her rant outside the theater, as she refused to step away from the building. The New York Police Department arrested and charged her with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
Loomer was released from the Central Park precinct shortly after.

The scene that shows the assassination of the Trump-like character has come under scrutiny over the past week, as some sponsors have pulled support of the Public Theater. The sponsors include Delta Air Lines and Bank of America.
The scene also sparked social media outrage that seemed to boil over Friday night.
