CHICAGO (WLS/CNN) - A pregnant woman and a man were shot and killed on Friday, but the baby was delivered before the woman died, according to WLS.
The victims were in a vehicle when they were shot in the Fernwood neighborhood, where the man died. The woman was shot in the chest multiple times before being taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
The baby was born before the mother died, and is listed in critical condition. Officials have not released the names of the victims.
The deadly shooting moved the homicide total to more than 500 in Chicago in 2017.
